Home DIY | Homemade Solution for Clean Tiles!

Posted by on May 10, 2016

So the new kitchen is fitted and looks amazing! Until you take a second look at the tiling you haven’t replaced. Against your all new fittings, it looks dull and grubby. Fear not! A few basic ingredients and some elbow grease will solve the problem.

Grab some regular baking soda (bicarbonate of soda, not baking powder) and rub it into the grouting and wipe away any excess. Pop some white vinegar into an old, rinsed spray bottle. Spray the powder with the vinegar and watch it fizz! Leave it for a minute or two and take an old nail brush and give it a scrub. Rinse the brush in water and wipe up the residue as you go. Don’t soak it too much, the grit helps the dirt to lift.

Taa-daaa! Clean grouting and brand new tiles to match your beautiful new kitchen!
